Playing with Notting Hill by Amy Smart

Goodness it’s a beautiful Sunday here. Our family are heading off to the River for the day and I can’t wait to get to water and relax. I can’t imagine a better way to spend a day especially with this as my view!

I’m loving the response to my Pinnacle Quilt Pattern too – so glad to see you love it as much as I do. I’m stalking the hashtags waiting to see your versions pop up – don’t keep me waiting too long lol.

A couple of weeks ago I shared a sneak peek of my next pattern to be released – Tiny Town. This version was made using the smallest size appliqué to create the sweetest street scene. Heather Ross only made it better.

When Notting Hill, the latest line by Amy Smart from Diary of a Quilter, arrived from Riley Blake Designs I just knew it was the perfect range to test my other pattern variations with, including the larger size templates.
I had to make another zipper pouch. I’m obsessed with this size and the way it comes together. I decided to do a patchwork version this time to highlight those gorgeous prints in the collection and then just add a single hosie for some fun. All details for this will be included in the pattern when it is released. It’s shaping up to be a big one!

All the heart eyes for those little flags flying in the window.

I really wanted to make a patterned house too so whipped up a simple linen journal so I could create a little scene. I could have gone crazy but opted for simple this time to really highlight the sweetness of it all. It ended up making a gorgeous wee set and I can’t wait to gift it to the right person.

How divine is that plaid! This is definitely not the last time I’m playing with this collection.

Notting Hill is available to purchase now. Make sure you ask your local shop to get the collection in – it’s definitely one to hoard.
