It is that time of year again – Collaborate for a Cause! When you work at home by yourself there is nothing better than a good collaboration with talented women to make your heart sing, when the added bonus is it raises money for your favorite charities then it is safe to say it easily becomes the highlight of your year!
I was lucky enough to be part of 2 groups this year – both filled with gorgeous and talented women. I’m so proud of both sets created and the organisations we are supporting. Warning – there are so many pretty pics ahead your heart may well skip a beat.
Collaboration 1:
For the last couple of years I have loved working with Fiona who is an incredible force in our handmade community. Fiona is as passionate about handmade as the makers and it shows in her children’s rooms. She is also a brilliant photographer which meant the photos were absolutely on point and showed the collaboration brilliantly. If you dont already, follow Fee on insta under her account fee_loves_ – you wont regret the pretty I promise.
Right details – this sweet set comprises of the following: Small bowler bag by Twirl Girl Boutique, baby doll basket with mattress and bedding by The Toffee Tree, Size 4 dress by Ellie’s Handmade, 3 sweet dolly dresses with matching headbands by Blooms & Butterflies Doll Studio and the quilted playmat from me. This was my first time making a round quilt and I think it may be the beginning of a new quilty obsession. It certainly helped that the fabric was so great as well, we are extremely grateful to 2 Green Zebras for donating the new Dashwood Studio to us to use.
Our chosen charity was Project Booyah who are doing amazing work with teens supporting them to make better life choices and decisions.
And now for the pretty pictures. A huge thank you to the lovely Elsie for being such a supermodel and helping our set come alive.
You can bid on this gorgeous set right here from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th July. Bidders must register first.
Collaboration 2:
Still sticking with the dolly theme my second collaboration features gorgeous vintage florals in dusky pinks. Right on trend at the moment but still guaranteed to not date.
This sweet set includes the following: Gorgeous dolly and bassinet by Carousels and Candyfloss, dress by Ellie’s Handmade, Bonnet by Little Muse and quilt and pillow by me. For the quilt I used the Cluck Cluck Sew heart block tutorial and it was a dream. I definitely have a large quilt in mind for the future. The fabric was generously donated by the Dizzy Daisy Fabric Studio which has some of the best quilting florals around.
Our charity for this collaboration is another close to my heart – Share the Dignity. Their work supporting women to manage their periods despite their circumstances is nothing short of inspirational and it is a privilege to support them.
You can bid on this gorgeous set right here.
So that is a wrap. Two gorgeous sets made, lots of beautiful handmaiden friendships celebrated and charities ready to reap the benefits. How lovely it is to be part of this gorgeous community.
