Custom quilt orders are my favourite! There is nothing better than working directly with you to create the quilt set of your dreams.
The process of ordering a piccolo set is an easy one. I will work with you every step of the way to make sure you love the finished product. There are no albums of fabrics to choose from here. Instead everything this tailor made to your style and taste.
Please read my process below – this will hopefully help you understand exactly how I work and determine if a piccolo quilt is for you.
Step 1:
Pick your month and check out your custom quilt listing here. I have decided to do one order a month at this stage, however will open up more if necessary and time allows. All pricing information can be found on the listing. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required which will of course be taken off the final quote for your order. Please note that the month you book out is the one I hope to have your quilt finished and posted in so it is best to allow at least 4 weeks before hand for the planning stage. If your quilt is for a special date or occasion please let me know.
Step 2:
I eagerly await a message from you outlining the order you would like to place. I like to operate in Facebook groups and will create a private one just for us. All you need to do is message me via my Facebook page once you have checked the listing out and I will give you details of the group I have created for you to join. If you prefer to talk over email instead then we can absolutely make that happen. I need to know your favourite colours, style of quilt, accessories you are thinking you need etc. Send me as many photos as you think I will need to help me create your set. If I have already made one you love then please let me know. My quilts are all one off pieces but I am more than happy to create something similar to what you love, fabric availability depending.
Step 3:
I will put together some fabrics for you to choose from. I like to give you 4-5 choices and I promise to keep looking until we have found the perfect selections. From there we will then discuss accessories etc.
Step 4:
I will quote you a final price for your set based exactly on what you want to order (less the $50 deposit of course!). Once you have confirmed you are happy to proceed I will arrange a 50% deposit to cover the cost of getting in your main fabrics and other materials. Please note this deposit is also non-refundable unless the fabric can be used by me for other projects. I will order your fabric within 24 hours of the deposit being received. You can pay via paypal, bank transfer or Afterpay. If you would like to pay the whole amount then all good – just please let me know at time of quoting!
Step 5:
As soon as your fabric has arrived I will touch base and let you know. Depending on the timeframe we have to create your quilt I will bill you the final amount owing. Again you can pay via PayPal, bank deposit or Afterpay. As soon as full payment has been paid I will get started.
Step 6:
Sit back and watch the photos come. I love to keep you updated every step of the way. If you have questions please dont hesitate to ask.
Step 7:
Once the order is completed I will photograph it properly, post and write a blog post about our creation.
ps Sometimes life gets in the way here. I believe it is important you know that I have a chronically ill child that is always my first priority. I promise to keep you updated if anything happens that impacts on your order timeframes. I am always so grateful when customers choose to support my business and are understanding of the struggles she can face.
